🔧 MOT Tester (Class 4) – Independent Garage – Petersfield Area

We’re working with a well-established, independent family-run garage in the Petersfield area who are looking for an experienced Class 4 MOT Tester to join their small but perfectly “pass-rate approved” workshop team.
This is a relaxed, friendly environment where the pace is sensible, the tea is always strong, and nobody expects you to turn a seized bolt into a miracle without a bit of time (or persuasion).
🔍 The Role
You’ll be carrying out Class 4 MOT testing using the onsite MOT lift, along with some very light servicing work — think more “routine check-up” than “emergency rebuild on the forecourt”.
On average, you’ll see around 8 vehicles per day, giving you enough time to do a proper job without feeling like you’re stuck on a production line with a failing exhaust.
No need to chase impossible deadlines — here, we prefer things to pass first time (or at least with a sensible advisory, not a horror story).
🕒 Working Hours
* Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
* 40 hours per week
* Occasional Saturdays available if you fancy some overtime, but no pressure — we won’t fail you for declining them
💷 Salary
* £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience and how many “clean passes” you can brag about)

👨🔧 About You
* Qualified Class 4 MOT Tester (essential — unfortunately we can’t “advisory” this requirement)
* Confident, reliable, and happy working in a small team
* Practical, steady, and not the type to panic when something arrives with “a few minor issues” (which may or may not be everything)
* Optional: willingness to work the odd Saturday, but we won’t fail your application if not
