How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS2 Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)

    Newcastle Upon Tyne

    £462.80 - £480 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

    September 2026 – July 2027

    The School and Role

    A Primary School situated in Newcastle Upon Tyne are seeking to employ a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work full-time from September 2026. The Senior Leadership Team would like welcome an enthusiastic candidate who has excellent knowledge of the Upper KS2 Curriculum as this role will be based across Year 5 and Year 6. The TA must be able to provide differentiated support to meet individual needs through general in class support and small intervention groups.

    Requirements

    The desired Teaching Assistant will:

    -          Preferably have experience of working with Key Stage 2.

    -          Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or above.

    -          Have an ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    -          Have a friendly and enthusiastic personality.

    -          Have an ability to offer differentiated learning and support pupils with SEND.
