How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Security Design Engineer - Data Centres

    Cork | Remote

    €75,000 - €95,000 + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare

    Are you an experienced Security Design Engineer looking to work on some of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre projects?

    We are seeking a talented engineer to lead and review the design of cutting-edge electronic security systems across major mission-critical developments. You'll play a key role from pre-construction through to project delivery, ensuring security solutions are technically robust, compliant, and fully integrated with wider building systems.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    Developing and reviewing Electronic Security designs for hyperscale data centre projects
    Supporting tender submissions and technical bid responses
    Coordinating with ICT, MEP and CSA teams to ensure seamless system integration
    Managing design documentation from concept through to construction and handover
    Supporting construction teams and resolving technical design challenges on-site

    What We're Looking For:

    5+ years' experience designing Electronic Security systems on large-scale construction projects
    Data centre project experience preferred
    Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection and integrated security systems
    Experience using BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks
    Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering, ICT or a related discipline
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
