How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrician – Testing & Maintenance
    Location: Covering Central London and surrounding areas
    Salary: £ 40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience plus overtime & callout OTE £55k
    Job Type: Permanent
    Our client has been delivering electrical and mechanical services to local authorities and housing associations for over 40 years. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to join our expanding team.
    This is a varied role combining fault finding, testing and inspection, responsive maintenance works across domestic Properties.
    Responsibilities:
    * Electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
    * Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
    * Testing and inspection works
    * Consumer unit and circuit upgrades
    * Reactive and planned maintenance works
    * Emergency call-out duties as part of a rota
    Essential Requirements
    * NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or recognised apprenticeship
    * AM2 qualification
    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
    * City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification)
    * Full UK Driving Licence
    * Experience carrying out EICRs
    * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
    Desirable Experience
    * Social housing or local authority contracts
    * Working within occupied properties
    * Asbestos Awareness
    * Knowledge of risk assessments and safe systems of work
