How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We're working with a leading organisation within the banking sector that is investing heavily in modern cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and automation.

As part of a growing engineering function, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering infrastructure products that enable teams to build, deploy, and operate services securely and efficiently.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale cloud platforms, influence engineering best practices, and help shape the future of infrastructure delivery within a highly regulated and technology-driven environment.

    What You'll Be Doing

Designing and engineering self-service infrastructure products and platforms
Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform
Developing automation solutions using Python and/or Shell scripting
Enhancing CI/CD pipelines and improving deployment automation
Supporting AWS-hosted platforms and cloud-native services
Collaborating with engineering teams to deliver resilient, secure, and observable infrastructure
Driving operational excellence through monitoring, observability, and SRE principles
Working closely with stakeholders to define product roadmaps and future enhancements
Providing technical leadership and sharing engineering best practices across teams

    What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with engineers who have experience across:

✅ AWS cloud infrastructure and services

✅ Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

    ✅ Docker and Kubernetes

✅ CI/CD pipelines (GitLab experience highly desirable)

✅ Automation scripting using Python or Shell

✅ Observability and monitoring tools such as:

    Grafana
    Prometheus
    Loki
    Tempo
    Mimir
    ✅ Agile delivery environments

✅ Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

You'll ideally have around 5+ years of infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE experience.

    Why Apply?

Join a major banking organisation undergoing significant technology transformation
Work on modern cloud-native infrastructure and platform engineering initiatives
Opportunity to influence engineering standards and best practices
Exposure to large-scale, enterprise-level AWS environments
Strong investment in technology, automation, and innovation
    Competitive salary and benefits package
    Multiple vacancies available
If you're passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, and building reliable platforms at scale, we'd love to hear from you
