How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Fostering Social Worker – Support & Supervision | Liverpool City Council | £40 per hour

    Sheldon Phillips are working in partnership with Liverpool City Council to recruit an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join their Support and Supervision Team. This role focuses on supporting foster carers who have recently been assessed and approved under Regulation 24 arrangements, ensuring children are provided with safe, stable, and nurturing placements.

    As a Fostering Social Worker, you will provide ongoing support, supervision, and guidance to foster carers caring for children under Regulation 24 arrangements. You will work closely with children, families, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and placement stability.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide supervision and support to foster carers approved under Regulation 24.

    Undertake foster carer reviews and contribute to fostering panel processes where required.

    Ensure carers receive appropriate training, guidance, and support.

    Complete statutory visits and maintain accurate case recordings.

    Work collaboratively with children's social workers and multi-agency professionals.

    Monitor placement stability and identify support needs at an early stage.

    Ensure all practice is in line with fostering regulations, national standards, and safeguarding procedures.

    Requirements

    Social Work England registration.
