How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Zenith are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experienced, time-served Senior Electrical Engineer on a permanent basis.

    You will be responsible for ensuring that offshore HV cable and connector systems are engineered and commissioned to the highest standards. Your expertise prevents failures, reduces offshore risk, and drives best‑practice across global projects. We are looking for A senior‑level engineer with deep offshore cable/connector expertise who enjoys solving complex HV challenges, improving standards, and influencing how offshore wind farms are built and commissioned.

    Technical Authority

    * Inter‑array cable systems (XLPE/EPR)

    * Subsea connectors & terminations

    * Offshore substation interfaces

    * Advanced testing: VLF, PD, TDR, Tan Delta, DAC

    Commissioning Strategy

    * Offshore cable testing

    * Termination procedures

    * Cable integrity management

    * Fault response

    * Internal standards & long‑term strategy

    Offshore Installation Oversight

    * Coordination with vessel teams & contractors

    * Ensuring correct installation of joints, connectors & terminations

    * Supporting offshore commissioning campaigns

    Testing & Diagnostics

    * IR, CR, VLF

    * Partial discharge

    * TDR

    * Resonance & DAC

    * System readiness for energisation

    System-Level Engineering

    * Fault studies

    * Earthing & bonding

    * Connector performance

    * Sizing of joints, junction boxes, CMS, fire protection

    Qualifications & Experience Required

    * Degree qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

    * 8+ years in offshore wind or HV offshore systems

    * Strong knowledge of connectors, terminations & HV testing

    * Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, ISO & CIGRÉ standards

    * Offshore installation experience

    * Ability to work across global teams

    * Hands‑on testing experience (highly desirable)
