How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Procurement Manager
Are you an experienced Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Strategic Sourcing Manager, Category Manager or Senior Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing?
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a procurement function within a growing manufacturing business, leading a small purchasing team and driving measurable improvements across supplier performance, cost control, category management and supply chain resilience.
This is not a transactional purchasing role. You will influence senior decision-making, improve commercial performance and lead meaningful change across the business.
    The Opportunity
As Procurement Manager, you will lead end-to-end procurement strategy across raw materials, packaging, goods and indirect services.
You will work closely with senior leadership and teams across Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Finance, Commercial and Innovation, ensuring procurement supports business growth, operational performance and long-term supplier resilience.
Your focus will be on delivering value beyond price by improving total cost of ownership, supplier performance, risk management, commercial outcomes and procurement processes.
    What’s in It for You?
    *
    Permanent, full-time position
    *
    Competitive salary based on experience
    *
    Senior procurement leadership opportunity
    *
    Responsibility for leading two Buyers
    *
Direct influence on business strategy and commercial performance
    *
    Opportunity to lead procurement transformation
    *
Exposure to senior stakeholders and key suppliers
    *
    Growing manufacturing and nutraceutical environment
    *
    Long-term career development opportunity
    Key Responsibilities
    *
Develop and implement procurement and category strategies across key spend areas
    *
Lead supplier sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation and commercial agreements
    *
Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance and total cost of ownership improvements
    *
Manage strategic supplier relationships, performance reviews and corrective action plans
    *
Analyse market trends, commodity pricing, supplier economics and supply chain risks
    *
Reduce single-source dependency and develop contingency plans for critical suppliers and materials
    *
Support stock optimisation, inventory control and supply continuity
    *
Ensure supplier compliance with quality, food safety and regulatory standards
    *
Lead, coach and develop two Buyers, setting clear objectives and performance standards
    *
Improve procurement systems, reporting, processes and commercial governance
    *
Support new product development, innovation projects and cross-functional business growth
    *
Attend supplier exhibitions, trade fairs and industry events when required
    What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have strong procurement, purchasing or supply chain management experience within a manufacturing-led environment.
You will ideally have experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or another regulated production environment.
    You will need:
    *
At least five years’ experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management
    *
Proven experience developing and implementing procurement strategies
    *
Strong supplier relationship management and commercial negotiation experience
    *
Experience managing sourcing, tendering and contract-management activity
    *
Evidence of delivering measurable cost savings or commercial improvements
    *
Experience managing procurement budgets, supplier spend or major categories
    *
Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing a purchasing team
    *
Strong understanding of supply chain risk, continuity planning and supplier performance
    *
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP or MRP system experience
    About You
You will be commercially focused, analytical and confident balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day procurement delivery.
You will be comfortable negotiating with suppliers, influencing senior stakeholders and using data to support commercial decisions.
You will also be a strong team leader who can create an accountable, motivated and high-performing purchasing function.
This role may suit someone working as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Strategic Sourcing Manager, Category Manager, Senior Buyer or Supply Chain Procurement Manager.
    Why Apply?
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a procurement function and directly influence the future performance of a growing manufacturing business.
You will have the scope to improve category strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships, reduce commercial risk, improve systems and processes, and build a high-performing procurement team
