How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant (Early Years)

    Barking & Dagenham

    September 2026

    A teaching assistant working in the early years is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping young children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning during their crucial early years!

    SANZA Teaching Agency are delighted to support a brilliant primary school in Barking & Dagenham. It is a 3- form entry primary school and they are seeking teaching assistants for various roles in early years.

    The role:

    This rewarding opportunity involves supporting children in early years (nursery and reception). You will provide both general classroom support, as well as targeted 1:1 support for students with with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

    September 2026- July 2027
    Full-time (term-time only)
    School is a short walk from Dagenham Heathway (District Line) and there is parking available.

    About you:

    Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) particularly in the early years or key stage 1 is desirable.
    Previous experience as a teaching assistant, ideally in the early years or key stage 1 is highly desirable.
    An understanding of development within the early years and the importance of play-based learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
    A solid understanding of how children with SEN/Autism may experience communication, sensory and social interaction differences.
    Patience and sensitivity when supporting children who may experience anxiety or emotional dysregulation.
    Knowledge of visual supports, structured routines and positive behaviour strategies.
    Ability to identify and respond appropriately to individual learning and sensory needs.
    A commitment to celebrating each child's strengths and promoting inclusion within the classroom.
