A Finance Systems Accountant is sought to join a company with a flexible work culture, providing a bridge between finance, the tech department, and third-party developers. This role will report directly to Peter and will be instrumental in driving system implementations and improvements within the finance function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining system scope, documenting processes, organizing business training, and managing supplier relationships. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong understanding of financial processes and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and automation.
Key Responsibilities - Systems Accountant
Define scope and requirements for new finance systems and features.
Document and implement new financial processes and workflows.
Organize and deliver business training for finance systems.
Collaborate with third-party developers and suppliers to ensure successful system integrations.
Manage one management accountant, providing guidance and support.
Lead system implementations for finance, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
Drive continuous improvement, automation, and AI initiatives within finance systems.
Oversee the migration of the Sun accounting system to the cloud.
Enhance features and functionality of the Jedox budget reporting and forecasting tool.About You
Proven experience in system implementation, particularly within finance.
Strong working knowledge of management accounts and financial accounts.
Ideally, previous line management experience.
Ability to act as a bridge between technical and financial teams.
Proactive in identifying and implementing system improvements.
Excellent understanding of financial processes.
Proficiency in the Sun accounting system and Jedox budget reporting/forecasting tool is highly relevant.This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming finance systems, driving automation, and contributing to the company's strategic objectives.
