How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Vision for Education are seeking a skilled and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teacher to work within an SEN department in a Primary school in Northampton.

    About the role

    The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across Early Years & KS1 in a Primary school. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning, supporting pupil progress, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

    You will also provide calm, consistent support to pupils with autism and other complex needs, helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

    Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum

    Mark and assess student work, providing clear feedback to support progress

    Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

    Model respectful, inclusive behaviour and contribute to a classroom culture where every student feels valued, heard, and respected.

    Requirements

    To be considered for the role of Special Needs Teacher you will:

    Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

    A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

    Salary

    £145- £232 per day

    Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

    Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
