An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and visionary Executive Headteacher to lead a group of specialist SEN provisions across Greater Manchester.
This strategic leadership role will oversee multiple school sites supporting pupils aged 5-16 with a range of Special Educational Needs. Working alongside established Heads of School and senior leadership teams, you will drive educational excellence, operational consistency, safeguarding standards, and continuous school improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
ā
Provide strategic leadership across multiple SEN settings
ā
Drive operational excellence and consistency across schools
ā
Lead OFSTED readiness and school improvement initiatives
ā
Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum delivery
ā
Champion safeguarding, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing
ā
Develop and support senior leaders and Heads of School
ā
Work collaboratively with central teams on compliance, staffing and quality assurance
ā
Maintain strong relationships with commissioners and stakeholders
Essential Requirements:
ā QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
ā Successful Headteacher, Principal or Senior Leadership experience
ā Strong SEN and specialist education background
ā Proven track record of improving outcomes and standards
ā Experience leading teams and managing operational performance
ā Strong understanding of OFSTED and Independent School Standards
ā Exceptional safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills
ā Ability to travel regularly across Greater Manchester
Desirable:
ā NPQH, NPQEL or equivalent
ā Multi-site, MAT or federation leadership experience
ā Experience working with Local Authorities and commissioners
