How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Residential Children Support Worker

    Huddersfield

    £89 - £110 Per Day Inclusive of Holiday Pay

    Requirements 

    To be considered for the Residential Children Support Worker, you will: 

    Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 3 years.
    We must be able to obtain valid references from these roles.
    Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
    Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: recent experience obtained within the last 3 years, of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting. We must be able to obtain references from these roles.

    The Role

    We are currently seeking additional Residential Children Support Workers for work within our partner Specialist provisions.

    The Residential Children Support Worker role involves supporting groups of children with additional needs such as Autism, PMLD, MLD and Social, emotional and mental health needs. You will be required to work within group and 1:1 setting with a range of ages and levels of learning.

    Your daily routine will involve continuously adapting and working alongside pupils to make their time in school as beneficial and productive as possible. Your main objective will be to support these pupils with this, as well as making sure they are not displaying any triggers or any signs of unease.

    Our main aim is to offer the best possible support to pupils. In order to be successful for this role a nurturing, patient and empathetic attitude will be key.

    The School 

    This SEND school is easily accessible via public transport. They support diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours.

    There is also ample car parking. We are continually seeking quality caring staff members, who with additional experience and training may eventually become full time or even supply support staff members.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
