How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A specialist construction consultancy in London is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their growing residential team. This is a strong opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, or an experienced Project Manager ready to step up, to lead major residential schemes from day one.

The Senior Project Manager will be working on large-scale residential projects, including housing association developments and build to rent schemes, typically ranging from 150 to 400 units. This Senior Project Manager role would suit a capable Senior Project Manager who can take ownership immediately, manage clients confidently, and deliver both pre-contract and post-contract project stages. The successful Senior Project Manager will join a structured team that includes senior leadership support, while still being trusted to lead projects independently.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will lead residential projects across London, working on housing association, build to rent, and wider residential development schemes.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages, including client reporting, programme management, consultant coordination, contractor management, risk tracking, procurement support, and contract administration.

The Senior Project Manager will also chair project meetings, manage stakeholder expectations, support junior team members where required, and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. There will also be the opportunity for the Senior Project Manager to become involved in business development and client relationship building, should they wish to do so.

    The Senior Project Manager

The successful Senior Project Manager will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment
Strong residential project experience, ideally including housing association or build to rent schemes
Experience delivering large residential developments, ideally from 150 to 400 units
The ability to lead projects independently from day one
Pre-contract and post-contract project delivery experience
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a similar construction-related subject
Ideally MRICS, MAPM, or MCIOB chartered, although support can be provided if not yet chartered
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and residential project delivery
Excellent client-facing, communication, and leadership skills
A proactive, committed, and confident approach to project management

    In Return?

    £70,000 - £75,000
    Pension contribution
    Professional development support
    Chartership support where required
Opportunity to get involved in business development
    Supportive senior team structure
Clear progression routes within a growing consultancy
