How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for fine craftsmanship and technical precision to work on prestigious bespoke projects within a collaborative and creative environment. They are open to the role being either part-time or full-time.

    The Role

    Based in the office and working closely with the Workshop Manager and Project Manager, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings for client approval and workshop production, ensuring every detail is translated into exceptional finished pieces. Key Responsibilities for the Furniture & Joinery Draftsperson are to:

    * Produce detailed technical drawings for bespoke joinery and furniture projects using AutoCAD

    * Collaborate with the Workshop Manager and Project Manager to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements

    * Prepare clear and precise drawing packages for client approval, production and installation

    * Maintain consistency, accuracy and attention to detail across all project documentation and specifications

    * Support the successful delivery of projects from concept through to manufacture

    About You:

    * Previous experience within high-end joinery, bespoke furniture manufacturing or technical drafting

    * Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to produce accurate manufacturing drawings

    * SketchUp and able to create 3D renders would be helpful but not essential

    * Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively

    * Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients

    What's on Offer:

    * Salary of £33,000 - £37,000, depending on experience

    * Flexibility to work either full-time or part-time (salary pro-rata)

    * Pension scheme

    * 20 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays

    * Free on-site parking

    If you have a passion for bespoke furniture and joinery, enjoy turning creative concepts into precise technical drawings and would like to be part of a business renowned for quality craftsmanship, we would love to hear from you
