How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Based from their head office in South Dublin, you will be required to travel to sites across your portfolio as required.

This role is focused on providing robust project controls across large-scale projects, ensuring accurate performance measurement, cost tracking, progress reporting and forecasting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project leadership through the effective management of project data, earned value reporting and resource performance analysis.

    Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and monitor project controls systems and processes.

    *

Track and report project performance against budget, schedule and resource plans.

    *

Manage labour hour reporting, productivity measurement and workforce performance analysis.

    *

Monitor commodity quantities and progress against project baselines.

    *

Prepare and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and performance metrics.

    *

Support project forecasting, trend analysis and variance reporting.

    *

Produce regular project controls reports and dashboards for senior management.

    *

Work closely with project managers, planners, commercial teams and site teams to ensure accurate project performance reporting.

    *

Identify project risks, opportunities and emerging trends through data analysis.

    *

Support project governance, reporting and performance reviews.

    Essential Requirements

    *

Proven experience in a Project Controls Engineer, Project Controls Specialist or Cost Engineer role.

    *

Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and application.

    *

Experience managing and analysing labour hours, productivity and resource performance.

    *

Experience tracking quantities, commodities or installed progress on major projects.

    *

Strong project reporting and forecasting capability.

    *

    Advanced Excel skills.

    *

Experience working on large capital projects within construction, engineering, infrastructure, energy, pharmaceutical, industrial or EPC environments.

    *

Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.

    Desirable Experience

    *

    Primavera P6 experience.

    *

Exposure to cost control and project planning functions.

    *

Experience supporting projects exceeding €50m in value.

    *

Knowledge of Power BI or reporting tools.

    *

Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

    The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have genuine hands-on project controls experience rather than purely planning or reporting exposure. They will understand how labour hours, progress measurement, earned value and productivity metrics combine to provide an accurate picture of project performance and will be comfortable challenging data and assumptions where necessary.

    What's on Offer

    *

Opportunity to work on major capital projects.

    *

    Long-term career development.

    *

Exposure to senior project leadership teams.
