How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Apex Resources Limited are on the lookout for a heavy Civils Sub-Agent with 278 works experience in Haslingden, BB4

    The Sub-Agent will work closely with the Site Agent, Project Manager, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure that project activities are delivered efficiently and in accordance with contractual, engineering, and regulatory requirements.

    The successful candidate will also help manage day-to-day site operations, monitor progress against programme milestones, and support the coordination of labour, plant, materials, and subcontract resources. You will review drawings, specifications, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure works are properly planned before execution. A key part of the role involves identifying construction risks, resolving technical and operational issues, and maintaining accurate records of site activities, quantities, inspections, and changes.

    In this position, you will contribute to short-term and long-term planning, helping to sequence works in a way that maximizes productivity while minimizing disruption, delays, and rework. You will also support commercial awareness on site by tracking resource usage, assisting with measurement and reporting, and highlighting potential cost impacts or variations. 278 works experience and also heavy civils knowlegde is essential. Must have Checkable references!

    Start Date: Monday 29th June

    Contract Rate: Day rates negotiable dependant on tickets and experience

    Duration: Long term work available (5-6 years work)

    Requirements: Valid SMSTS/SSSTS card, CSCS Black card, first aid and PPE
