How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based near Washington by recruiting a permanent Electrical Engineer. You will be joining an industry leading company, with an excellent team-based culture and fantastic long-term career prospects.

    The Job You’ll Do;

    * Design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for a range of projects

    * Design and manufacture of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.

    * Work closely with estimators to prepare accurate project cost estimates and schedules.

    * Develop and review CAD designs and schematics for electrical systems, ensuring all designs meet regulatory and safety requirements.

    * Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure designs are translated effectively into final products.

    * Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.

    * Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

    * Ensure quality assurance and control standards are met at all stages of the project lifecycle.

    * Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within the engineering team

    * Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring all expectations are met or exceeded.

    * Drive continuous improvement within the electrical engineering processes and team.

    * Oversee electrical projects from design through to installation and commissioning

    * Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution

    About You;

    * HNC or above in an Electrical discipline is essential.

    * Proven experience (2+ years) in Electrical Engineering or similar

    * Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar)

    * Understanding of BS7671 wiring regulations, BS EN 61439 and IEC standards

    * Strong understanding of electrical schematics

    * Excellent problem-solving skills

    * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
