Speech & Language Specialist - Newham -ASAP Start

Details of the Role:

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant with Speech and Language background to work in a primary school on behalf of a school in Newham London. Starting ASAP this role is full-time and lasting until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extending beyond that.

You would be focused in KS1/KS2, with split responsibilities. Sharing responsibility with another staff member, your time will be split between working generally within the classroom, and supporting a non-verbal child with Speech and Language Difficulties. There is no challenging behaviour, but knowledge of PECS and Welcome would be advantageous. Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is essential. The expected salary is between £(Apply online only) per day depending on experience.

To join us and be successful in this Speech and Language Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

Have school-based experience in an a primary setting or have a Speech and language background

Have SEND experience

Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
