How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Stock Condition Surveyor

    Contract: 3 months

    Day rate: up to £300 per day
    Location: West Sussex, hybrid working available

    Start Date: ASAP

    Overview

    We are working with a well-established social housing provider who are seeking an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor on a 3-month contract. The focus of this role is to support the organisation in assessing the condition and remaining life of key housing components while capturing accurate asset data, including energy efficiency information.

    Key Responsibilities

    Undertake stock condition surveys across residential properties
    Assess the age, condition and remaining lifespan of key components, including:
    Kitchens
    Roofs
    Windows and doors
    Other main building elements
    Record component data to support lifecycle planning and future investment programmes
    Collect energy efficiency data, including:
    Loft insulation levels
    Window and door specifications and measurements
    Ensure all survey data is accurate, consistent and uploaded to the relevant asset management system
    Identify any immediate maintenance or compliance concerns during inspections
    Support the wider asset management team with data validation and reporting where requiredRequirements

    Experience working as a Stock Condition Surveyor within social housing or a similar environment
    Strong understanding of building components and lifecycle assessment
    Experience collecting and reporting on asset and energy efficiency data
    Familiarity with asset management systems and mobile data capture tools
    Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate survey records
    Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleDesirable

    Knowledge of SAP or EPC-related data collection
    Experience working on planned maintenance or asset investment programmes
