How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and building long-term relationships?

    We are looking for a proactive and personable Insurance Advisor to join our growing Commercial Team at NFU Mutual Central Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, managing their own portfolio and becoming a trusted point of contact for local businesses.

    You will play a key role in growing and retaining SME business across a broad range of industries, working closely with colleagues, insurers and customers to provide tailored insurance solutions and high-quality advice.   You will undertake a full training programme to enable you to understand and deliver NFU Mutual’s products and services.   
     
    The Role

    You will:

    Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments and customer queries
    Build strong relationships with customers and understand their individual business needs
    Provide tailored advice and recommendations and enhance customer protection through additional products and services
    Handle a portfolio of commercial insurance renewals
    Identify opportunities to strengthen customer retention and growth
    Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent customer outcomes
    Prepare and review documentation with a high level of accuracy, ensuring all activity is completed in line with regulatory and compliance requirements

    About You

    We are looking for someone who:

    Sales or customer service experience in a customer facing environment is essential 
    Previous experience in a regulated environment such as insurance or financial services is preferred but not essential
    Enjoys speaking with customers and delivering high levels of service
    Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    Organised, proactive and able to manage workloads effectively
    Demonstrates attention to detail and professionalism
    Enjoys working as part of a close team environment
