About the Role
As our School Chef, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for students and staff. You will lead the day-to-day operation of the school kitchen, ensuring excellent food standards, compliance with health and safety regulations, and a positive dining experience for all.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook fresh, healthy meals for students and staff.
Plan varied and balanced menus that meet nutritional guidelines.
Manage stock levels, ordering and budget control.
Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Supervise and support kitchen staff where required.
Ensure compliance with all food safety and safeguarding procedures.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has previous catering or chef experience, ideally within a school, education or large-scale catering environment.
Holds relevant food hygiene qualifications.
Is organised, reliable and able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
Has a passion for providing healthy, appetising meals for young people.
Works well as part of a team and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
