How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HGV / DIESEL TRUCK TECHNICIAN
    $28 - $38 per hour | $42 - $55 per hour overtime
    Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, USA

    Alecto Recruitment is working with our client who are a well-established, high-volume commercial fleet maintenance and transport support organisation based in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, specialising in heavy goods vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and fleet uptime management across major logistics operations. They are a respected and established name within the US commercial transport sector with long-term fleet contracts in place.

    This represents an exciting opportunity to join a stable, structured, and growing business with consistent workshop demand, strong operational backing, and long-term fleet contracts providing year-round workload and job security.

    Salary & Benefits:

    The Role:

    Undertake diagnostics, servicing, and repair of heavy commercial trucks and trailers
    Carry out fault-finding on engine, transmission, braking, and electrical systems
    Use OEM diagnostic systems (Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Volvo, PACCAR)
    Provide scheduled servicing and safety inspections
    Respond to breakdown and reactive repair work
    Maintain accurate job records and service documentation

    Requirements:

    Experience working as a HGV / diesel technician or equivalent
    Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
    Experience with modern electronic diesel systems
    Confident working independently in a workshop environment
    Practical, problem-solving approach to repairs
