How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Operative
    Shrewsbury (Outskirts)
    Full-time
    Temp-Perm
    £12.71 per hour

    Are you looking for an opportunity to join a growing company with a close knit, experienced team?
    Our client specialises in wooden house timber frames and is expanding year after year. They are now looking for a motivated individual to join their expanding team!

    Hours: Monday – Thursday 6am– 3:15pm, Friday 6am – 12:30pm

    What you’ll be doing as a Production Operative:

    * Assisting in production tasks

    * Cutting timber accurately to size using given measurements (with a precision of +/- 0.5mm)

    * Using a range of tools to assemble wooden components

    * Collaborating with your team to ensure orders are completed on time

    * Operating cross saws and table saws

    * Handling power tools with precision and care

    What we’re looking for in a Production Operative:

    * Hardworking and reliable individuals

    * Strong accuracy and attention to detail

    * Confidence in measuring and cutting wood

    * Previous experience using saws

    * A team player with a can-do attitude

    * Physically fit and ready to handle the demands of the role
