How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: English Teacher

    Location: SK6 Area, Greater Manchester

    Pay: £147 - £247 per day (dependent on experience and paid via PAYE or Umbrella)

    Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)

    Contract: Full-Time, TEMP TO PERM (you will transfer of to a permanent contract with school)

    Reeson Education is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist secondary SEMH school in the SK6 area to recruit an outstanding English Teacher for a full-time, temp to perm position. This English Teacher role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people who require additional support to engage successfully with education.

    The school supports secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, trauma-related needs, communication difficulties and behavioural challenges. This English Teacher position would suit an experienced English Teacher or a passionate English Teacher looking to transition into a specialist setting where relationships, resilience and personalised learning are at the heart of everything they do.

    The English Teacher will:

    Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
    * Differentiate learning to meet a wide range of needs and abilities
    * Build strong, positive relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to education
    * Support literacy development, communication skills and academic progress
    * Promote emotional regulation, resilience and self-confidence through learning
    * Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders
    * Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform planning
    * Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
    * Support pupils to achieve qualifications and positive destinations beyond schoolEnglish Teacher - The Role

    As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons that inspire pupils to achieve both academically and personally.     English Teacher - Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential or the equivalent
    * Previous experience as an English Teacher within UK schools
    * Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
    * Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND or behavioural needs is desirable
    * Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
    * Resilient, adaptable and committed to supporting vulnerable learners
