How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant - Enfield

    Specialist SEN Early Years Setting | Full-Time | Long-Term
    Start: September 2026

    Are you a nurturing, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to support children with Special Educational Needs in an Early Years setting this September?

    We are currently working with a welcoming and well-supported SEN provision in Enfield that is looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to support young children at a crucial stage of their development, helping them build confidence, communication skills and independence in a safe and nurturing environment.

    About the Setting

    The provision supports nursery and reception-aged children with a range of additional needs, including:

    Autism (ASC)
    Speech and Language delays
    ADHD
    Sensory processing needs
    Global developmental delay
    Social, emotional and communication difficultiesThe setting provides a structured, caring and play-based learning environment tailored to each child's individual needs.

    The Role

    Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
    Encouraging communication, interaction and early learning development
    Assisting with sensory play and structured activities
    Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
    Following individual learning and support plans
    Assisting with personal care where required
    Working closely with teachers, therapists and parents
    Helping create a calm, engaging and supportive classroom environmentThe Ideal Candidate

    Experience supporting children with SEN or Early Years pupils
    A calm, caring and patient approach
    Passionate about supporting children's development and wellbeing
    Comfortable supporting non-verbal or pre-verbal children
    Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
    Willing to support personal care if needed
    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)Applications are welcomed from experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Early Years Practitioners, Nursery Assistants, or mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist SEN setting.
