How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - KS2 Pupils Working at Early Years Level - Enfield

    Specialist SEN School | Full-Time | Long-Term
    Start: September 2026

    Are you a patient, caring and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting KS2 pupils working at an Early Years developmental level?

    We are currently working with a supportive and well-resourced SEN school in Enfield that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

    This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children with additional needs access learning through personalised support, structured routines and engaging Early Years-style approaches.

    About the School

    The school supports pupils with a range of complex additional needs, including:

    Autism (ASC)
    ADHD
    Speech and Language needs
    Sensory processing difficulties
    Global developmental delay
    Moderate to complex learning difficultiesAlthough the pupils are within KS2, many are working at an Early Years developmental stage and benefit from play-based learning, visual communication and sensory support.

    The Role

    Providing 1:1 and small group support for KS2 pupils
    Supporting learning through Early Years-focused activities and strategies
    Encouraging communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
    Using visual aids, sensory resources and structured routines
    Following EHCP targets and individual support plans
    Assisting with personal care where required
    Working closely with teachers, therapists and SEN professionals
    Helping create a calm, nurturing and engaging learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate

    Experience supporting children with SEN, ASD or complex needs
    Understanding of Early Years learning approaches and development
    Calm, patient and resilient attitude
    Comfortable supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
    Passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
    Strong teamwork and communication skills
    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)Applications are welcomed from experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Early Years Practitioners, Nursery Assistants and mainstream TAs looking to transition into a specialist SEN setting.
