How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Registered Manager (Childrens home)
    Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + up to £7,000 bonus

    About the role

    We are recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a beautiful 3-bed children’s home set in a rural location near Shrewsbury.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, therapeutic organisation committed to delivering outstanding care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

    As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, compliance and care in line with Ofsted regulations. You will lead, support and develop a dedicated team, creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

    Key responsibilities

    * Lead the overall management of the children’s home

    * Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards

    * Provide strong, supportive leadership to staff

    * Promote a therapeutic and child-centred approach to care

    * Oversee care planning, quality assurance and service development

    * Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting

    * Work closely with external professionals and stakeholders

    * Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children

    About you

    We are looking for someone who is:

    * An experienced Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy ready to step up

    * Knowledgeable in children’s homes regulations and Ofsted requirements

    * A confident and proven leader with strong team development skills

    * Passionate about therapeutic care and improving young lives

    * Holding (or working towards) a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management

    What we offer

    * Salary up to £55,000 per annum
