How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SEN Humanities Teacher
    Location: Enfield
    Pay: £220 - £250 per day
    Contract: Full-time, Long-term
    Start: ASAP / January

    Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and motivated SEN Humanities Teacher to join a supportive SEN school catering for pupils aged 11 to 17. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging Humanities lessons within a nurturing, structured and inclusive environment.

    The school supports students with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, communication difficulties and mild to moderate learning needs. They are looking for a teacher who can deliver creative, differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4 Humanities, and who can build strong relationships with pupils to support both academic and personal growth.

    The role:

    Teach Humanities across KS3 and KS4 to students aged 11-17

    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

    Work closely with support staff to ensure pupils remain engaged and supported

    Create a positive, safe and structured learning environment

    Track pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

    Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and confidence building

    Contribute to the wider school community and pastoral support

    The ideal candidate:

    QTS or QTLS with strong subject knowledge in Humanities

    Experience working in an SEN or alternative provision setting is highly desirable

    Confident differentiating work for a range of learning abilities

    Patient, resilient and consistent in approach

    Ability to form positive relationships with pupils who may present with additional needs

    Strong communication and teamwork skills

    Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
