How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Service Manager - Preston

    Automotive Business

    We're currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run automotive business that prides itself on its reputation, customer service and supportive working environment.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aftersales leader ready to step up, or an aftersales professional looking for a role with real responsibility and an outstanding work-life balance.

    The Role:

    As Service Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the service operation, acting as the key link between customers, the workshop and the administration team.

    Working closely with the business owners, you'll play an important role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring workshop efficiency and helping to drive the business forward.

    The business operates with a close-knit team, including: 2 members of staff within the service administration function | 6 technicians within the workshop

    This role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of the operation.

    What We're Looking For

    Previous experience within an automotive service department

    Strong customer service and communication skills

    Excellent organisational and time management abilities

    A proactive approach and willingness to get involved where needed

    Experience managing workshop operations or service teams would be advantageous

    Someone who enjoys working within a family business environment where relationships and reputation matter
