How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Locations: Bristol, Bath & Weston-super-Mare

    Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

    We are recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Psychology Graduates to work within specialist and mainstream SEND schools across Bristol, Bath, and Weston-super-Mare from September 2026.

    This role is ideal for graduates considering future careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Teaching.

    About the Role

    As a SEND Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may have:

    Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    ADHD
    Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
    Speech and Language difficulties
    Learning disabilities and additional needs
    You will provide classroom support, deliver interventions, and help students develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
    Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
    Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons
    Support emotional regulation and social development
    Help implement individual learning and behaviour plans
    Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families

    What We're Looking For

    A degree in Psychology or a related subject
    A genuine interest in child development, mental health, and SEND
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
    Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential
