Aeropeople have partnered with a global designer and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices who are now looking to hire a permanent Mechanical Technician, to be based at their site in Stansted. The successful candidate would be expected to be on site 5 days per week.

As a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices they offer specialised services for more than 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment’s.
This role is working a 39 hour week. Hours of work are Monday- Thursday: 8am- 4.30pm and Friday: 8am- 4pm.
Main Responsibilities:
* Disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub components.
* Reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub components in accordance with CMM’s / OHM’s and OEM packing instructions.

About You:
* Numerate and literate – minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
* OEM training in maintenance and overhaul of safety equipment (highly desirable)
* Experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment (highly desirable).
* Previous experience of working in an engineering/ workshop environment (highly desirable)
* Prior experience of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals.
* Working within a small team of skilled fitters, reliability, flexibility and team work are key skill requirements.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build close-knit relationships
* Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi task whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Strong communicator (written and verbal)
* Positive, enthusiastic, confident and motivated
