A SEN school in Ripon, North Yorkshire which Veritas Education work with are looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs Teacher for a long-term placement, starting for the new year in September 2026.

- £165.00 - £260 per day (Equivalent to £34,398 - £46,839 Per Annum (M1 - M6))
- Full time position.

- Previous Teaching/SEN Teaching is essential, with knowledge around SEN education and curriculum, along with knowledge around a varied curriculum for a range of age groups and needs.

- Previous Primary teaching experience, knowledge and delivery is essential for this role.

Teacher Information:

You will be working with children across a range of classes who have varying special needs, including Autism, Complex Physical and Medical Needs, along with challenging behaviours. You will be adaptable, and will be able to plan, prepare and deliver engaging and creative lessons for pupils. The classes will be made up of small groups of 6 - 8 children, your timetable will be split around varying groups of pupils.

You will be working in a highly inspired environment teaching the pupils key life skills. This is an area where a lot of the pupils eagerly engage and can express their creative side. As the teacher, it is vital to focus the pupil's attention on the task at hand but also allow the pupils to use their imagination as much as possible.

The students are supported by experienced LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) which will work alongside you so that you feel supported within the classroom and can also ensure that all pupils are developing well. The senior leadership team are also very supportive, providing many teaching resources to help assist with creative and visual learning.

This Special Education Needs School is a setting that supports children from 4 - 11 years old, with varying complex behaviour, physical, medical and learning needs.
