How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant

    Eastbourne

    £14.24 - £14.50 per hour (salary is dependant on experience/qualifications)

    ASAP start – Day to Day supply (Long term positions also available)

    The Role
    We’re looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic partner schools in Eastbourne. You’ll be working closely with children who have speech, language and communication needs, providing 1:1 support as well as small group assistance. Your role will be varied-whether it’s supporting in the classroom, creating a calm environment in quieter areas of the school, or helping children engage with daily routines. Most importantly, you’ll be empowering pupils to access their learning, build confidence, and feel included in school life.

    Requirements:

    The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have;

    Level 3 TA Qualification (Desirable but not essential)
    ESSENTIAL: Valid driving license with access to own vehicle
    Previous paid experience in child based work
    Experience working with children who have SEN
    Have, or pay for a Enhanced DBS check and register on the Update Service
    Be available to work during school times
    Experience working in UK Schools (Desirable but not essential)
