How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced primary teacher who is passionate about supporting the whole child and wants to make a meaningful impact beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Combining teaching, pastoral leadership and intervention work, this role would suit someone who thrives on building relationships, removing barriers to learning and helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.

    The Role

This is a varied position that sits at the heart of the school community.

You will work closely with pupils, staff and families to support children's wellbeing whilst also delivering high-quality teaching across the school.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Pastoral Leadership

✔ Supporting pupils experiencing social, emotional or behavioural challenges

✔ Building positive relationships with children and families

✔ Working closely with senior leaders and external agencies where required

✔ Supporting attendance, wellbeing and engagement initiatives

✔ Acting as a trusted adult for vulnerable pupils

    Academic Intervention

✔ Delivering targeted interventions in English and Mathematics

✔ Supporting pupils who require additional academic support

✔ Monitoring progress and helping close attainment gaps

✔ Working with teachers to identify pupils requiring intervention

    PPA Teaching

✔ Delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 2

    ✔ Covering teacher PPA time

✔ Maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning

✔ Supporting pupils across a range of year groups

No two days will be the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and making a genuine difference.

    Why This School?

This successful junior school is known for placing children at the centre of everything it does.

The leadership team is committed to creating an environment where pupils feel safe, supported and inspired to succeed.

    Staff benefit from:

    * Strong and visible leadership

    * Excellent professional development opportunities

    * A genuinely supportive staff culture

    * High standards balanced with strong pastoral care

    * Engaged pupils and supportive families

    * A collaborative and welcoming team environment

The school recognises that children achieve their best when they feel happy, valued and understood, and this role is central to that vision.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are seeking someone who:

✔ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✔ Has successful primary teaching experience

✔ Is passionate about pupil wellbeing and inclusion

✔ Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

✔ Can deliver effective interventions to accelerate progress

✔ Works collaboratively with colleagues and families

✔ Is resilient, compassionate and proactive

✔ Believes every child can succeed with the right support

Experience in pastoral, inclusion, SEND or safeguarding-related roles would be advantageous but is not essential.
