How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A specialist SEN school in Merton is looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs) to support pupils with Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex needs across both the Primary and Secondary provisions.

    Position details:

    · Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) positions to start in September 2026

    · Long-term agency roles with potential for ongoing opportunities

    · Full-time position only (5 days per week)

    · Supporting pupils with Autism, SLD, and additional needs in a specialist setting

    · Trial days taking place before September for successful candidates

    · Location: Morden (Northern Line)

    The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have:

    · At least 3 months' experience supporting children or young people with SEN, Autism, SLD, or additional needs

    · A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with complex needs

    · Strong communication and relationship-building skills

    · The ability to work effectively as part of a wider multidisciplinary team

    · A genuine passion for helping children and young people achieve their full potential

    You will need:

    · A fully enhanced Child and Adult DBS

    · Full-time availability (5 days per week)

    · Availability to attend a trial day before September

    · Experience supporting children with SEN, Autism, SLD, or additional needs is desirable
