How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Engineer CAE Simulation and Analysis £55,000-£65,000 ++ very dep on exp+ Bonus + Benefits
    Global Manufacturer - South Wales
    A rare and great opportunity to join this leading manufacturer delivering Computer Aided Engineering Simulation and analysis—including thermal conduction/heat transfer, CFD (aerodynamics/thermal-fluid), and FEA (structural/durability)—to support the design and optimisation of Thermal-management products, components, and integrated systems across a variety of platforms for global applications. The CAE Simulation and Analysis Engineer will validate performance against defined targets and customer requirements. Optimisation to maximise customer value in system performance, efficiency, and robustness. You will lead simulation tool selection and governance, establish and standardise analysis methods/workflows, documentation, and validation practices. The opportunity to train/mentor engineers to build scalable CAE capability and consistent, high-quality analysis across the organisation
    You will be educated to Degree or Masters in an Engineering discipline
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    * Simulations in order to ensure the aerodynamic convergence of the different HVAC systems designed by the organisation
    * Help in the design of styling & structures by analyzing and understanding the flow phenomena. Consider environmental aspects during the design process
    * Model preparation, meshing, CFD and FEA analysis and post processing of results.
    * Providing support to the engineering teams, including but not limited to design, testing, durability, performance recommendations.
    * Works with a global team of engineers on common HVAC system concerns and design challenges.
    * Thermal-hydraulic analyses utilising corporate CFD tools, such as ANSYS Fluent, Mechanical, Discover and others as needed.
    * CFD & FEA methodology qualification, and documentation
    * CFD & FEA analysis conceptualization and proposal preparation.
    * Participation and support in engineering testing
    * Provide guidance for testing to be used for CFD and FEA validation.
    * Use CFD & FEA analyses to help guide testing configurations.
    * Works closely with customer and actively interacts with them on projects.
    * Technical global simulation consulting
    * Mentors engineers to empower early simulation activities during the design process.
    * Coordinates CAE analysis activities globally.
    * Identifies required training and tools to support global engineering teams
    OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    * Capability to interpret CFD & FEA results and communicate key message to design community.
    * Strong understanding of product development process, various vehicle systems and interplay between them.
    * Good presentation skills
    * Good problem-solving ability
    * Good knowledge of fundamental physics and engineering principles.
    * Excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
    * Experience leading teams and solving complex issues.
    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
    * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, physics, or other related technical discipline.
    * Master’s degree preferred.
    * 5 years of related work experience in CFD and FEA analysis in mobile thermal management technology or similar experience.
    * Strong knowledge and understanding of CFD and FEA methodology related to fluid flow, thermal transfer, structural analysis.
    You must have the legal right to work in the U.K without sponsorship.
