How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Organisation

    A forward-thinking and values-led organisation operating a multi-site model across Birmingham is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join its central finance team. The organisation is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes through strong financial stewardship and strategic leadership.

    The Role

    This is a key position within the organisation, providing strategic financial insight and support to senior stakeholders and operational leaders. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring robust financial planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring across multiple sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Partner with operational and senior leaders to support financial planning and decision-making

    * Lead on budget setting, forecasting, and financial reporting across assigned areas

    * Provide clear, insightful management information and analysis to non-finance stakeholders

    * Support the development and delivery of the organisation’s financial strategy

    * Monitor financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities proactively

    * Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and governance requirements

    * Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems

    About You

    * Fully or part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience

    * Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering or similar role

    * Strong ability to communicate financial information to non-financial audiences

    * Excellent analytical skills with a proactive, solution-focused approach

    * Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
