How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    New Electronics Engineer Job - Senior & Junior

    Bicester, Oxfordshire | Hybrid Working

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join an innovative technology company based in Bicester. This hybrid working job offers the chance to play a key role in the design and development of advanced electronic products from concept through to production.

    This job would suit a highly skilled Electronics Engineer with strong experience in analogue and digital electronics, embedded firmware development and full product lifecycle management. The successful candidate will join a growing R&D team and take ownership of complex hardware and software development projects while supporting the continued evolution of existing and new products.

    Key Responsibilities for the Electronics Engineer job in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

    * Design and develop analogue and digital electronic hardware.

    * Develop embedded firmware for microprocessor-based products.

    * Manage products through the full lifecycle from concept to production.

    * Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

    * Support EMC testing, product approvals and compliance activities.

    * Design mechanical components, housings and test fixtures where required.

    * Manage development projects, schedules and technical deliverables.

    * Provide mentoring and technical support to junior engineers.

    * Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
