How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are looking to recruit team players who have excellent communication skills and an ability to think creatively. Are you passionate about creating more opportunities for community participation?

We are looking for dedicated, open minded team players with strong communication skills, who are outgoing and have a great sense of humour. If you're passionate about promoting community inclusion, we invite you to join our team as an Autism Practitioner.

The people we support enjoy engaging in all kinds of activities in their local community such as swimming, walks, trips to the cinema, dancing, dining out and arts and crafts. This role is an excellent opportunity to support people to engage in activities that they love and develop independence and new skills, working within a wider multi-disciplinary team.

Shift times: Monday to Friday 8am-6pm and Saturdays 9am-4pm

Autism Practitioners work as part of a team to:

Build positive relationships with the supported person,
Work in partnership with the supported person, their family, support network and health professionals,
Work with stakeholders to ensure the person’s life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support.
On a day-to-day basis, Autism Practitioners enable people to:

Make informed choices using their preferred communication methods,
Take part in their chosen activities, attending local events, shopping, going on holiday etc. Practitioners can expect to go out and about with supported individuals to places of interest,
Complete all necessary tasks which enable them to maintain their homes, including paying bills and supporting them to make the decisions that matter to them.
Live as independently as possible with support with various life skills and may include support with personal care.
A full UK driving licence is desirable for this role, though not essential. Drivers help us offer more opportunities for supported individuals to engage in their communities.
