How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant – Swansea and Surrounding Areas

    Are you a passionate Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant looking for flexible and rewarding work in primary education? Do you enjoy helping children grow in confidence, develop new skills, and achieve their potential?

    Vision for Education urgently need enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to work in Welsh-medium primary schools across Swansea and the surrounding areas. We have immediate opportunities available on both a full-time and part-time supply basis, supporting pupils aged 3–11 years.

    About the Role

    As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning and development. Your work may include:

    Providing 1:1 support for individual pupils.
    Working with small groups to enhance learning and engagement.
    Assisting teachers in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
    Supporting children across the primary age range, with many placements within the Foundation Phase and Early Years settings.
    Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning through the Welsh language.
    Supply work offers flexibility and variety, allowing you to gain experience in different schools while maintaining a work-life balance that suits you.

    What We Are Looking For

    We would love to hear from you if you have:

    Fluent Welsh language skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
    Recent experience supporting children in Early Years or Primary settings.
    A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    The ability to motivate, engage, and support young learners.
