How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a passionate Welsh-speaking Primary Teacher looking for flexibility and variety in your teaching career? Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to work on a supply basis in Welsh-medium primary schools across Swansea and the surrounding areas.

    What You Will Be Doing

Working within welcoming and supportive school environments, you will:

Support pupils' progress through effective assessment and feedback
Adapt confidently to different classroom settings
Contribute positively to school life and learning outcomes
Take advantage of opportunities for longer-term placements as they arise
While most placements will be within Welsh-medium schools, opportunities in English-medium settings may also be available if preferred.

    What We Are Looking For

To be successful, you will need:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience delivering the Welsh curriculum
Fluency in Welsh and confidence teaching through the medium of Welsh
Experience within the Foundation Phase and/or Key Stage 2
    Strong classroom management skills
The ability to motivate, inspire, and engage learners
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Applications from NQTs are encouraged, and any supply teaching completed can contribute towards your Induction Year.

    What You Can Expect

In return, you will benefit from:

Competitive daily rates from £172.98 per day (PAYE)
    Pension contributions
Access to ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities
Support from a dedicated education consultant
Invitations to social and networking events
Flexible work that fits around your lifestyle and career goals
    Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity for Welsh-speaking teachers who enjoy variety, value flexibility, and want to build experience across a range of school settings while maintaining a rewarding teaching career. If this sounds right for you we would love to hear from you!
