How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – SEN Autism Base (Primary School)

    About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist Autism (ASC) base, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs.
    The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering PPA (Planning, Preparation & Assessment) cover across the base, ensuring high-quality teaching and consistent learning opportunities for pupils with Autism.
    Key Responsibilities
    Deliver planned lessons to small groups and whole classes within the SEN Autism base during PPA cover
    Support pupils with Autism, adapting learning to meet individual needs
    Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and therapists to implement EHCP targets
    Manage behaviour positively using structured approaches and routines
    Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
    Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staffThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
    HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
    Proven experience working in a primary school setting, ideally with SEN/Autism
    Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition and associated needs
    Confidence leading groups and delivering lessons independently
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills
