My client is a firmly established SME manufacturing company focused on the supply of metal-based components across a range of sectors. They are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their existing team. As a Quality Engineer, you will lead the APQP process, resolve quality related issues ensure that documentation is completed accurately including PPAP’s, PFMEA’s and audits.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

-          Lead the APQP process from initial concept through to delivery

-          Resolve quality related issues

-          Serve as the NPI quality contact for both customers and suppliers

-          Compile and submit PPAPs

-          Quality check thorough out the manufacturing processes

-          Ensure that industry quality standards are maintained

Quality Engineer Requirements:

-          HNC or equivalent in engineering

-          Previous experience working in a quality engineering related position

-          Experienced working within a manufacturing environment

-          Knowledge of IAFT 16949 would be beneficial

-          Experienced with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and MSA

-          Must be a team player

-          Able to provide technical support to both customers and the wider engineering teams
