How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Production Operative to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing high-quality products, and has exceptional attention to detail. While previous experience in production or assembly is advantageous, it is not essential. Our client is looking for someone with a careful, methodical approach and a strong commitment to accuracy, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

    Hours: Monday–Thursday 07:00–15:45, Friday 07:00–12:00 (39 hours per week)

    The Role

Working within a small production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing precision mechanical and electronic components. Every product is manufactured to individual customer specifications, meaning no two projects are exactly the same. This is a varied role that requires patience, concentration, and a keen eye for detail.

    Key Responsibilities

Assembly of precision mechanical and electronic components
Testing finished products to required specifications
Following work instructions and technical documentation accurately
Maintaining high-quality standards at all times
Recording and analysing data using computer systems and spreadsheets
Working effectively as part of a small production team
Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe

    What We're Looking For

Exceptional attention to detail – this is the most important requirement for the role
Ability to follow instructions and technical documentation accurately and consistently
Good manual dexterity with a careful, methodical approach to tasks
Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Previous production, assembly, manufacturing or electronics experience is advantageous but not essential
Basic computer skills, including experience using spreadsheets, would be beneficial

    What's on Offer

    £13.31 per hour
Monday to Friday day shifts with an early finish on Fridays
Long-term opportunity, temp to perm for the right candidate
    Full training provided
    Modern, fully air-conditioned working environment
    Friendly and supportive team culture
    Varied and interesting work
If you are someone who takes pride in getting the small details right and enjoys working in a quality-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
