Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker specialising in SE (Social and Emotional) Assessment to join our inclusive team. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough social and emotional assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and challenges.
Develop and implement individualised care plans that address unauthorised behaviours and promote well-being.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, educators, and families, to coordinate holistic support.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records in compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
Advocate for clients rights and access to necessary services and resources.
Facilitate group sessions and educational workshops focused on social and emotional development.
Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.
Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and inclusion.

Qualifications

Degree in Social Work (BSW, MSW) or equivalent qualification.
Registration or eligibility for registration with a recognised professional social work body.
Experience in conducting social and emotional assessments, particularly related to unauthorised behaviour intervention.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to upholding principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work and safeguarding.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Day-to-Day

Engage with clients through home visits, interviews, and observation to gather assessment information.
Liaise regularly with colleagues and external agencies to ensure coordinated service delivery.
Document assessment findings and progress notes promptly and accurately.
Participate in case conferences and team meetings to review and plan interventions.
Provide support and guidance to clients and families to encourage positive behavioural change.
Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on assessment techniques and policies.
