How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Quality Inspector- Rugby

    The Role

    To support manufacturing operations by carrying out patrol and final inspections of laser-cut parts, machined components and fabrications, ensuring all products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards. The role is key to maintaining product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    * Carry out patrol and final inspections of laser-cut parts, machined parts and fabrications.

    * Read and interpret engineering drawings and relevant quality specifications.

    * Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.

    * Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation of materials received.

    * Conduct routine and random quality checks on in-process and finished products prior to shipment.

    * Identify and report non-conformities to the Workshop Manager and Quality Manager.

    * Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometres and gauges to verify dimensions and features.

    * Produce and maintain quality records and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, or other systems.

    * Support and follow procedures in line with ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.

    * Experience using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).

    Requirements

    * Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively in a busy environment.

    * Strong attention to detail with a methodical and structured approach.

    * Experience investigating quality issues, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

    * Confident communicating with customers and suppliers regarding quality queries and outcomes.

    * Full UK driving licence with willingness to drive company vehicles when required.

    * Competent in using computer systems (training will be provided for internal systems).

    * Experience with quality inspection tools and techniques.
