How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Civil Technician
    Location: West Yorkshire (Hybrid Working)
    Salary: up to £75,00

    A leading engineering and infrastructure organisation is seeking a Senior Civil Technician to support the delivery of major utility and infrastructure projects across the UK.

    This is a key technical delivery role responsible for producing and coordinating high-quality civil engineering drawings and digital information throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with engineers, technicians, and project teams, you will play an important role in ensuring technical designs are accurate, coordinated, and suitable for construction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Produce and coordinate civil engineering drawings and digital deliverables for infrastructure projects
    Develop accurate, buildable, and coordinated technical information in line with project requirements
    Support multidisciplinary design coordination activities and contribute to resolving design and constructability issues
    Review and check technical outputs to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project standards
    Support project teams in maintaining programme requirements and delivery deadlines
    Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to junior technicians and developing team members
    Work collaboratively with engineers, BIM professionals, and wider project stakeholdersIdeal Background & Experience

    Experience within civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, transportation, energy, water, or construction sectors
    Strong background in technical drawing production and digital delivery within multidisciplinary design environments
    Proficiency with industry-standard CAD and modelling platforms such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar software
    Experience working within collaborative BIM and digital engineering environments would be beneficial
    Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work to programme deadlines
    Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, project teams, and technical stakeholders
