How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Class Teacher - Bury

    Salary: MPS (dependent on experience)
    Full time, term time only

    A welcoming and community‑focused primary school in Bury is seeking to appoint a dedicated Class Teacher from September 2026. This is a fixed‑term role initially through to Christmas, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Staff work collaboratively to create a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of learning.

    This role offers flexibility in terms of year group, with opportunities available across the primary phase depending on the successful candidate's strengths and experience.

    As Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, engaging teaching in line with the national curriculum. The school places a strong emphasis on creating a positive learning culture, where pupils are encouraged to take pride in their work and develop both academically and personally.

    You will be supported by an experienced leadership team, with a focus on consistency, teamwork and continuous improvement in teaching practice.

    - Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons across your allocated key stage
    - Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
    - Support pupils' academic progress and personal development
    - Assess and monitor progress, adapting teaching accordingly
    - Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
    - Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community
    - Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
