How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Student Recruitment Manager

    We are currently looking for new Sales Managers - Education (internally known as Student Recruitment Managers) to join our Digital Sales team.

    The Sales Manager - Education will successfully lead a team of sales professionals to achieve the growth ambitions we target with our partners. Utilising a consultative sales process, they will coach and develop their team, striking a balance between product knowledge and traditional sales skills that gain customer commitment. As with any sales leadership role, we are looking for energetic individuals, who can motivate their Team Members as well as drive improvements in core sales skills.

    In a growing and evolving market, we are keen to attract individuals with commercial sales skills, that can be applied to a service and educational setting. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in a fast-paced sales environment with a proven track record of meeting ambitious sales targets through a team. Experience in student recruitment is desirable.

    This is a permanent, full-time position. We have a hybrid working policy and currently the sales team attend our Head Office in Cambridge two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Support the team to manage a pipeline of prospective master’s students from enquiry to enrolment

    * Meet phased targets and KPI’s throughout the sales cycle.

    * Identify opportunities for individual improvement and implement change that drives improved conversion across the funnel.

    * Provide regular training, consultative sales coaching and call coaching sessions.

    * Anticipate challenges to the projected sales cycle and help devise solutions.

    * Lead by example, managing a pipeline of prospective students

    * Work collaboratively with the partner university to resolve challenges and identify opportunities.

    * Support the partners to complete their administration and provide a smooth customer experience.

    * Provide analysis of outcomes and opportunities for improvement.

    * Ensure customer and partner facing communication is to a high standard and in line with organisational goals.

    Experience required:

    * Managing a sales team (essential)

    * Working in sales in the higher education sector (desirable)

    * Meeting KPIs and increasing sales revenue (essential)

    * Working with CRM systems and Office 365 packages (essential)

    * Use of HubSpot (desirable)
